Sustainability initiative of the European detergent and cleaning products industry
Sustainability is a topic which has been covered by the European detergent, maintenance and cleaning product industry for many years. Numerous initiatives reflect how the industry translates the sustainability concepts into corporate processes and production procedures. The Initiative Sustainable Cleaning of the International Association for Soaps, Detergents and Maintenance Products (A.I.S.E., Brussels) represents a major milestone and was launched in all EU Member States as well as Norway, Iceland and Switzerland on a voluntary basis in 2004. It pursues the goal of an ongoing improvement in the companies of the detergent, maintenance and cleaning product industry in view of a more sustainable management.
